light at the end of the tunnel...or is that a train?

For all the acclaim Jeff Tedford gets for resurrecting the Bears, he's also a study in the dangers of running an offensive-minded program. If your QB gets hurt or has a bad day (as happened the past two weeks), your championship hopes are ruined. This happens to Cal almost every year.

Cal is reeling, going from No. 2 to No. 18 after two straight losses. Now it's off to take on unbeaten Arizona State, but history says Cal will bounce back: the Bears have never lost three straight under Jeff Tedford, bouncing back from consecutive losses by winning by an average of 15.6 points.
